Job summary

QatarYello is seeking an in-house Senior Commercial Lawyer to support our fast-growing digital solutions business across international markets. You will draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including SaaS, supplier, licensing and partnerships, balancing legal risk with business needs.

You will partner with Sales, Technology, Procurement, HR and Finance, advise on regulatory and governance matters, and help drive improvements in contract lifecycle management and legal

Qualifications

• 3–6 years' PQE in a recognised jurisdiction (common law preferred).
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, ideally within tech or SaaS environments.
• Background in-house or from a reputable law firm with strong commercial exposure.
• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and balance legal risk with business objectives.
• Experience working in fast-paced or scaling organisations, with a hands-on and adaptable approach.
• Exposure to process improvement, legal operations, or efficiency-driven initiatives is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including SaaS, supplier, licensing, and partnership contracts.
• Act as a trusted legal partner to business units including Sales, Technology, Procurement, HR, and Finance.
• Provide pragmatic, risk-based legal advice to support commercial decision-making and new initiatives.
• Support corporate governance, internal approvals, and maintenance of legal documentation and records.
• Contribute to compliance frameworks, policy development, and ongoing regulatory adherence.
• Own and enhance contract lifecycle management, templates, and legal tracking processes.
• Identify and implement improvements across legal operations, including automation and use of legal tech tools.
