Learning support role providing nursing instruction, remediation, simulation support, laboratory supervision, student advising, and learning program coordination. The specialist also supervises support staff, manages learning-support communications, collaborates across departments, and reports on program effectiveness.
Provide instruction, remediation, and evaluation in didactic and clinical learning concepts, including patient-care simulations. Provide academic support using current nursing concepts, competencies, and practices. Communicate academic programs, policies, regulations, requirements, and options to students. Document student progress and report it to academic leadership. Coordinate and supervise laboratory experiences and provide individual technical-skills guidance. Plan open laboratory schedules, resources, learning support plans, and related programs. Manage Learning Support social media and publicity campaigns. Collaborate with Information Technology Services and academic departments. Supervise peer tutors, graduate assistants, and teaching assistants. Assess student learning needs and analyze statistics to report learning-support effectiveness.
Bachelor's degree in nursing from a reputable university. Master's degree in nursing from a reputable university, preferably in Medical-Surgical or Critical Care Nursing. Active registered nurse license from the home country or country of residence. Qatar Department of Healthcare Professions educator license must be obtained within six months of employment. Basic Life Support Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support is preferred.
English is required and Arabic is preferred. At least three years of clinical experience as a registered general nurse after licensure. At least one year of academic instruction or specialized tutoring experience after obtaining the master's degree. Experience supervising nursing students at clinical sites and teaching clinical courses within the last five years.
