Job summary

BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL in Doha seeks a Lead/Senior SharePoint Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience across SharePoint 2019 on-premises and SharePoint Online to drive architecture, migration, and deployment of the Connect22 intranet.

You will design a cloud-first backend using SPO lists, libraries, and sites, wrap React UI in SPFx Web Parts, enable read-only ERP/K2 integrations, and modernize workflows with Power Automate while maintaining secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of core, hands-on experience in SharePoint 2019(on-premises) and modern SharePoint Online (SPO) / SPFx (v1.16+) development.
• Proven track record of leading and executing complex SharePoint migration projects from on-premises to SharePoint Online.
• Expert-level experience rebuilding legacy SharePoint Workflows in Power Automate, utilizing cloud flows and connectors.
• Proven experience fetching data from external REST APIs, JSON services, or direct SQL databases for SPFx web parts.
• Strong understanding of API security (Bearer/OAuth 2.0) and secure integrations.
• Expert-level proficiency in React, TypeScript, and React Hooks.

We are seeking a Lead/Senior SharePointDeveloper with 6+ years of professional experience across both SharePoint 2019(on-premises) and SharePoint Online (SPO) to drive the technical architecture,backend integration, migration, and deployment of our customized "Connect22" intranet portal. In this role, you must bring a proven track recordofsuccessfully executing end-to-end intranet migration projects from legacyenvironments to modern SharePoint Online.
Using SharePoint Online as a headless CMS,you will analyze our current environment to design the optimal cloud backendstructure (SPO Lists, Libraries, and Sites) to support our custom Reactlayouts. You will be responsible for wrapping custom React UI components intodeployable SPFx Web Parts (v1.19+) and establishing secure, read-onlyintegrations with our active enterprise core platforms (such as ERP and K2systems) .Additionally, you will build an in-webpart content management system(CRUD) using sliding Fluent UI panels, execute the end-to-end migration oflegacy content (such as news, corporate stories, documents, and lists), andmodernize legacy SharePoint workflows into modern, cloud-native Power Automateflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Migration Strategy & Execution :Act as the technical lead for migrating the legacy SharePoint 2019environment to SharePoint Online. Plan, structure, and execute themigration of historical intranet content, including news archives,corporate stories, documents, lists, web applications , site collectionsand permissions, ensuring all legacy data maps correctly to the new moderndesigns.


• Environment Analysis & Architecture : Audit the existing SharePoint 2019 environment to assess datastructures, page layouts, workflows, and permissions. Define and implementthe optimal modern site structure, site collections, and metadata taxonomy in SharePoint Online.


• Read-Only System Integration (ERP & K2): Establish secure, read-only connections to active enterpriseplatforms, including ERP suites and K2 environments [1]. Fetch data viastandard REST APIs, JSON endpoints, or secure database views to displaylive operational data inside SPFx custom components.


• Hybrid Security Implementation: Ensure all data-fetching integrations are completely secure and complywith corporate security standards.


• Workflow Modernization (SPO 2010 to Power Automate): Analyze existing legacy SharePoint 2019 workflows (including2010 engine workflows), dissect their business logic, and completelyre-engineer and migrate them into secure, efficient Power Automate cloudflows.


• SPFx Web Part Architecture : Wrapmodular React functional components into production-ready modern SPFx WebParts (v1.19+) deployed to the SharePoint Online App Catalog.


• Headless SharePoint & APIs: Design SharePoint Online list schemas, custom columns, and documentlibraries. Write efficient data-fetching classes using PnP JS (@pnp/sp)and Microsoft Graph APIs.


• In-WebPart Content Editing (CRUD): Build secure, slide-out administration drawers (Fluent UI Panels) thatpermit authorized business users to add, edit, and delete list items(news, events, links) and upload media without interacting with theSharePoint Online backend lists.


• Complex Data Transformation: Designthe recursion and hierarchical JSON data parsing necessary to turn flatSharePoint Online list data into interactive components likeorganizational charts.

• 6+ years of core, hands-on experience in SharePoint 2019(on-premises) and modern SharePoint Online (SPO) / SPFx (v1.16+)development.


• Proven track record of leading and executing complex SharePointmigration projects from on-premises (SharePoint 2019/2016) to SharePointOnline.


• Expert-level experience rebuilding legacy SharePoint Workflowsin Power Automate, utilizing cloud flows, automated/scheduled triggers,custom connectors, and approval loops.


• Proven experience fetching and consuming data from externalREST APIs, JSON services, or direct SQL databases to display inside SPFxweb parts.


• Strong understanding of standard API security, including tokenauthentication (Bearer/OAuth 2.0), API Key management, and secure webservice integrations [1].


• Expert-level proficiency in React, TypeScript, and React Hooks.


• In-depth expertise in PnP JS (@pnp/sp) and PnP SPFx ReactControls (such as FilePickers, PeoplePickers, and RichText editors) withinSharePoint Online.


• Proven experience debugging custom code inside native mobileWebView containers (specifically the SharePoint Mobile App).
