Advanced Search is seeking a Head Chef with deep Japanese cuisine expertise for a prestigious luxury lifestyle hotel in Doha, Qatar. This senior role leads the Japanese kitchen to deliver authentic, world-class dining experiences.

The role requires mastery of sushi, sashimi, robata, ramen, teppanyaki, or kaiseki, plus strong leadership, cost control, and a background in luxury hospitality. Japanese language is a plus and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef (Japanese cuisine).
• Expert command of sushi, sashimi, robata, ramen, teppanyaki, or kaiseki.
• Luxury hotel or high-end restaurant background preferred.
• Strong leadership and cost control skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Lead all culinary operations of the Japanese kitchen, ensuring quality, authenticity, consistency, and presentation.
• Design and innovate menus that honor traditional techniques with a modern sensibility.
• Recruit, develop, and inspire the kitchen brigade to achieve excellence.
• Manage food costing, inventory control, and waste reduction to maintain profitability.
• Ensure hygiene, food safety, and kitchen organization standards.
