Job summary

Airswift is seeking an experienced Instrument / Fire & Gas (F&G) Engineering Specialist in Qatar to provide technical leadership across EPC, commissioning, startup and handover of major oil & gas projects. You will ensure instrumentation and F&G systems are designed, commissioned, and operated to the highest safety, reliability, and cybersecurity standards.

This role requires close collaboration with project teams, EPC contractors, vendors, and operations personnel to ensure successful project

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 8 years of experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, or Process Industries.
Proven experience supporting EPC projects, commissioning, startup, and facility operations.

Responsibilities

Provide specialist engineering support for Instrumentation and Fire & Gas systems during project execution, commissioning, startup, and operational handover.
Participate in and lead design reviews, including: HAZOP Studies, SIL Assessments and Verification, SIL Workshops, Functional Safety Reviews, Technical Risk Assessments.
Support troubleshooting, root cause failure analysis, and performance optimization of instrumentation and safety systems.
Review engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with company standards, industry codes, and operational requirements.
