Job summary

KEO Group in Doha seeks a skilled Environmental Engineer seconded to our government client. You will provide environmental support across beautification, landscaping and public realm, and review environmental reports and policies.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science, 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years in large-scale projects, with ISO 14001 experience and Lead Auditor certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline from a recognised university.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years in environmental engineering/management with large-scale projects.
• Experience developing and managing environmental standards and management systems (ISO 14001).
• HSE background in construction/major development projects is desirable.
• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification is preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental support and technical advice across beautification, landscaping, public realm and development projects.
• Prepare and review environmental reports, policies, procedures, CEMP/EMP/EIA and other environmental documentation.
• Monitor site implementation of environmental plans and regulatory requirements through site visits.
• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits, policies and ISO 14001 requirements.
• Review consultant and contractor environmental submissions and coordinate with QSD for approvals.
• Monitor and report environmental KPIs, including recycling and waste management.
• Identify environmental risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, designers, QSD, and government stakeholders on environmental matters.
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of environmental policies and management systems.
