Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Lead Drainage Engineer in Doha, Qatar to lead drainage discipline on major projects and support department growth.

You will oversee planning, design, and delivery of drainage systems, manage modelling and liaise with clients and authorities to obtain approvals. The role requires advanced hydrology/hydraulics knowledge, hands-on leadership, and experience with tools like InfoWorks ICM, SWMM, HEC-RAS, and CAD suites.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Civil/Hydraulic/Hydrology/Water Engineering.
Master’s in Water Engineering/Hydrology is a plus.
Minimum 20 years in water engineering incl. stormwater drainage design.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, design and delivery of drainage and stormwater systems.
Act as primary contact for drainage discipline on projects; deputize for design manager as needed.
Manage hydraulic/hydrological modelling incl. flood risk assessments.
Provide technical leadership and ensure codes and standards compliance.
Review and approve designs, drawings and reports.
Develop WSUD solutions and liaise with clients/regulators.
Mentor team members and coordinate with CAD/BIM teams.
Stay current with drainage technologies and regulations.
