Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Kids Club Animator to join our dynamic hospitality team in Lusail, Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, age-appropriate entertainment and recreational activities that create memorable experiences for children while maintaining the highest standards of safety, supervision, and care. You will work collaboratively with the entertainment team to develop innovative programs, organize themed events, and foster a welcoming, inclusive environment where children can learn, play, and grow. Your passion for working with children, combined with your organizational skills and attention to detail, will be essential to the success of this position.

• Monitor and follow daily Kids Club duty schedules, activity programs, and staff assignments to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Welcome children and their parents in a friendly, professional, and enthusiastic manner, providing a warm and memorable guest experience
• Ensure all children are registered upon arrival and released only to authorized parents or guardians in accordance with established procedures
• Maintain continuous supervision of children participating in Kids Club activities and ensure compliance with approved child-to-staff ratios and safety requirements
• Organize and conduct age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities, including arts and crafts, drawing, painting, storytelling, music, dance, sports, team games, treasure hunts, and educational activities
• Develop creative and innovative activity concepts to enhance children’s engagement and maintain high entertainment standards
• Participate in the preparation and implementation of weekly and monthly Kids Club activity programs, special events, themed days, seasonal celebrations, and family entertainment activities
• Ensure activities are tailored to children’s age groups, individual abilities, interests, and specific needs
• Maintain a safe, clean, hygienic, organized, and attractive Kids Club environment at all times
• Frequently inspect Kids Club facilities, play areas, toys, games, furniture, and equipment to ensure proper maintenance and safe conditions
• Report damaged, missing, or potentially hazardous items to the immediate supervisor promptly
• Establish and maintain the highest standards of child safety, hygiene, supervision, and safeguarding in accordance with hotel procedures and applicable local legislation
• Ensure compliance with all child protection policies and maintain appropriate professional boundaries when interacting with children
• Follow established procedures for accidents, injuries, emergencies, lost children, and behavioral concerns, reporting all relevant cases immediately to the responsible supervisor
• Handle sensitive information regarding children’s allergies, medical conditions, special requirements, and emergency contacts in accordance with hotel procedures and privacy requirements
• Maintain accurate records of children’s attendance, registration, activities, incidents, and other required operational documentation
• Keep parents appropriately informed about activity schedules, children’s participation, and relevant incidents or concerns
• Monitor children’s behavior and encourage respect, teamwork, sharing, creativity, social interaction, and positive communication among participants
• Handle parents’ and children’s complaints professionally and refer matters to the Kids Club Supervisor or Entertainment Manager when necessary
• Coordinate with the Entertainment Department and other hotel departments to ensure successful implementation of children’s entertainment programs and special events
• Support the organization of mini-discos, family activities, themed parties, competitions, celebrations, and other entertainment events according to the hotel’s entertainment calendar
• Ensure all activity areas and equipment are properly prepared before each session and returned to appropriate storage areas after use
• Maintain professional appearance, uniform condition, grooming, and personal hygiene in accordance with hotel standards
• Attend departmental briefings, staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations as required by management
• Ensure effective communication and proper handover of all relevant operational information to colleagues and the immediate supervisor
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, professional behavior, teamwork, and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction
• Remain updated on children’s entertainment trends, creative activities, recreational games, educational concepts, and best practices in child supervision
• Use hotel supplies, toys, equipment, stationery, and activity materials responsibly and minimize unnecessary consumption and wastage
• Ensure emergency exits and evacuation routes within the Kids Club remain clean, accessible, and free from obstructions
• Implement environmentally responsible practices by minimizing paper and material consumption and encouraging environmental awareness
• Handle cleaning materials and chemicals safely in accordance with hotel procedures and applicable legislation
• Carry out all responsibilities related to quality management, health and safety, and other management systems implemented at the hotel
• Familiarize yourself with the hotel’s internal policies, emergency procedures, fire safety regulations, and applicable operational standards
• Participate actively in achieving departmental objectives, improving guest satisfaction, and maintaining the quality of the hotel’s entertainment services
• Carry out all other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor, Entertainment Manager, or hotel management as needed

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or vocational qualification minimum
• Qualification in childcare, early childhood education, recreation, sports, arts, or a related field is preferred

Experience:

• Practical experience in children’s entertainment, childcare, recreational activities, education, or hospitality is preferred
• Previous experience in a luxury hotel or international resort is advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to manage and engage multiple age groups simultaneously

Language Skills:

• Intermediate level of English minimum
• Knowledge of additional foreign languages is advantageous

Certifications and Training:

• First aid certification is preferred
• Child safeguarding and protection training is preferred
• Health and safety or hygiene training is preferred
• Certifications must comply with applicable local legislation and hotel policy

Technical Skills:

• Basic computer literacy, including standard office applications
• Proficiency with activity scheduling systems and attendance record management
• Familiarity with departmental communication systems
