Job description

The Junior Supervisor II will support and assist daily procedures of the assigned section to ensure a smooth flow of work. This involves working closely with the Section Manager to supervise and assist operations of other sections. The position will act as a supervisor for small sections and in the absence of the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Check product merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed.
• Direct and supervise stockers engaged in sales, inventory-taking, performing service for customers on catering the required to the customers.
• Report any product merchandise discrepancies, disposals based on inventory, profit and loss to the Section Manager.
• Keep records of purchases and sales.
• Check sales activities daily turnover.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods.
• Refer to any problem that arises to next level, such as customer complaints and supply shortages.
• Check the daily operations in the department.
• Ensure safety rules, production and sanitation standards are met.
• Monitor and motivate staff in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Assisting Section Manager with maintaining company goals.
• Establishing and assigning the duty shifts of stockers at the section and scheduling break periods, work hours, and vacations in the absence of Section Manager.
• Check employees’ daily duties.
• To understand the needs of the employees and convey them to the Section Manager.

Experience Required:

• 3-year experience in retail or hospitality of which minimum 1 year should be of a supervising role.

Education Qualifications:

• At least High School Level

Skills Required:

• Have strong communication skills.
• Ability to delegate, assist and supervise workings of subordinates.
• Must be able to interact with all levels of management.

Languages:

English, French and Basic Arabic
