Powerholding Intl. is seeking a Commis I to support kitchen operations, assist in food preparation, and maintain a clean, organized work area in Qatar. You will help with prep, cooking tasks, plating, and collaboration with senior chefs to ensure timely, high-quality dishes.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and at least 3 years in a kitchen, including GCC experience advantageous. This on-site role emphasizes food safety, consistency, and a positive work ethic.

Qualifikationen

• Understanding of fundamental cooking methods: grilling, sautéing, frying, baking, roasting.
• Knowledge of food safety principles: proper handling, storage, temperature control.
• Familiarity with ingredients and their preparation techniques.
• Understanding of menu items, recipes, and plating standards.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen tools and equipment.

Aufgaben

• Assist in food preparation tasks (chopping vegetables, portioning meats, measuring ingredients).
• Execute simple cooking tasks (grilling, frying, sautéing, baking) under supervision.
• Follow recipes to ensure consistency and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
• Assist in stock rotation and inventory management.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Ensure ingredients/equipment are ready for cooking.
• Assist in plating and garnishing to meet presentation standards.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate prep/service.
• Collaborate with chefs/sous chefs to ensure smooth workflow.
• Monitor cooking processes (temperature, times) to maintain quality.
• Participate in training to improve culinary skills.
• Follow instructions from senior chefs/kitchen management.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work ethic.
• Adhere to kitchen policies and guidelines.
• Assist in other duties to support kitchen operations.
