Job summary

Tanqeeb in Doha, Qatar seeks a seasoned physician to lead critical care for trauma and multi-organ failure patients. You will diagnose, treat and support severely ill or injured individuals and supervise rounds and inpatient care.

Qualifications

• MD with valid medical license to practice in country of residence.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• 2+ years GCC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnosis, treatment and support for critically ill trauma patients and those with multiple organ dysfunction.
• Manage hemodynamic instability, airway/respiratory issues, acute renal failure and life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Lead rounds and supervise inpatient care; screen and examine outpatients.
• Organize and monitor departmental clinical services for optimal patient care and resource use.
• Assume direct responsibility for patients under medical attendance in the assigned unit.
• Participate in committees to upgrade services and organize work within and outside the hospital.
• Support department development plans and staff training programs in your area of expertise.
• Schedule on-call duties and provide on-call services.
• Assess and update drug, medical supply and equipment needs.
• Prepare and approve medical reports; participate in research activities.
• Perform special procedures as privileged; adhere to organizational policies and programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of the department.

Job Summary

Responsible to provide the diagnosis, treatment and support of critically ill and injured patients, particularly trauma victims and patients with multiple organ dysfunction.

Job Responsibilities 1

To provide patient support for hemodynamic instability (hypertension/hypotension), airway or respiratory compromise (such as ventilator support), acute renal failure, potentially lethal cardiac dysrhythmias, and frequently the cumulative effects of multiple organ system failure.

Conducts rounds and undertakes supervision of treatment of the inpatients as well as screening and examination of the outpatients.

Organizing, monitoring, and maintaining the clinical services provided within the department in order to achieve the highest possible level of patient care with optimum utilization of the available resources.

Assumes direct responsibility for the patients under his/her medical attendance in the assigned unit.

Job Responsibilities 2

Participates in the various committees for the upgrading of services and organization of work within and outside the hospital.

Actively participate in the planning and implementation of the department development plans and the different manpower training programs for the medical, technical and nursing staff in his/her area of expertise.

Participates in scheduling of on-call duties and provides on-call services.

Participates in the assessment and updating of drug, medical supply and equipment needs.

Writes, completes and approves medical reports for patients.

Participates in research activities.

Performs special procedures as privileged.

Adheres to policies, guidelines, plans and programs of the organization.

Performs other duties as assigned/directed by the Head of the department and approved by the management.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Current and in a good standing medical license to practice in country of residence.Provides high quality care to patients in this area of medicine.Communication skills to explain complex medical information, procedures, answer questions to patients and their families.Technical skills to perform procedures and analyze data.Technical skills to interpret medical records, scan patient data and interpret test results.Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.Perfect vision and visuospatial awareness.Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians and residents The ability to work well alone and within a team.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
