Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician for full-time duty in a production environment. You will execute maintenance, inspect and repair control valves, positioners, and pneumatic actuators to regulate gas and air flows.

You will install, calibrate, and maintain field instrumentation such as pressure transmitters, DP cells, thermocouples, RTDs, and perform routine checks on gas detection systems, while coordinating with production and maintenance teams to

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a production or process plant.
• Experience in Iron Making, Steel or material handling preferred.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments: weigh scales, transmitters, gas analyzers, thermocouples, control valves, PLC/DCS.
• Read electrical drawings and P&IDs; basic computer skills and English communication.
• Dusty, hot, high work environment with exposure to gases.

Responsibilities

• Execute instrumentation maintenance activities per schedule; inspect, troubleshoot, and repair control valves, positioners, and pneumatic actuators.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain field instrumentation including pressure transmitters, DP cells, thermocouples, and RTDs; perform routine checks on gas detection systems.
• Carry out emergency and unscheduled diagnosis and repair activities.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to avoid production disruption; ensure compliance with safety, environment, and quality procedures.

• Execute instrumentation maintenance activities as per schedule; inspect, troubleshoot, and repair control valves, positioners, and pneumatic actuators regulating gas and air flows
• Install, calibrate, and maintain field instrumentation including pressure transmitters, DP cells, thermocouples, and RTDs; perform routine functional checks on gas detection systems
• Carry out emergency and unscheduled diagnosis and repair activities; make temporary and permanent repairs as required
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to execute instrument maintenance plans without disrupting production; ensure compliance with safety, environment, and quality procedures

Requirements

• Technical Diploma in Instrumentation from a reputed institute
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a production or process plant; experience in Iron Making, Steel, or material handling is preferred
• Technical knowledge of measuring instruments including weigh scales, pressure/flow transmitters, gas analyzers, thermocouples, control valves, level transmitters, and PLC/DCS systems
• Ability to read electrical drawings and P&IDs; basic computer skills and English communication (written and spoken)
• Comfortable working in environments with exposure to dust, heat, heights, and gases
