Job summary

Qualifications

Instrument Technician

A reputable oil and gas company in Al-Khor is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instrumentation and control systems, as well as experience working in the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair various types of instrumentation equipment
• Calibrate instruments and perform regular maintenance to ensure accuracy and functionality
• Troubleshoot control systems and make necessary adjustments or repairs
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify issues and develop solutions
• Collaborate with other technicians to complete projects and tasks within designated timelines
• Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, reports, and inventory levels
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times while on the job site
• Communicate effectively with team members, superiors, and clients to provide updates on project progress

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in instrumentation preferred
• Minimum of 3 years experience as an Instrument Technician in the oil and gas industry
• Strong knowledge of various types of instrumentation equipment such as pressure gauges, thermometers, transmitters, etc.
• Experience working with control systems such as PLCs, DCSs, SCADA systems
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and diagrams
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools for troubleshooting purposes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic language skills is a plus

Salary: 1000 USD per month (negotiable depending on experience)
