Nord Anglia Education is recruiting a MYP Language & Literature Teacher (English) for Etqan Global Academy in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on delivering MYP Language & Literature lessons, developing inquiry-based units that connect language and literature to global contexts, and embedding ATL skills across the curriculum.

The successful candidate will hold a recognized teaching qualification and a degree in English, with prior IB MYP experience and a strong passion for literacy and language.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Language & Literature or English in an IB MYP school.
• Strong knowledge of MYP Language & Literature curriculum and assessment criteria.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Language & Literature lessons aligned with IB MYP.
• Design inquiry-based learning experiences to develop reading, writing and critical thinking.
• Assess student work using MYP criteria and provide constructive feedback.
• Create units of inquiry exploring language, literature and intercultural perspectives.
• Embed ATL skills and promote a love of reading and language.
• Support students' preparation for MYP eAssessment in Business Studies.
• Fulfill Form Tutor responsibilities and contribute to school life.
• Contribute to the English department and wider school community.
