Job summary

Dietsmann Group in Doha seeks an experienced Inspection Engineer to develop and maintain asset registers for PVs, PSDs, lifting equipment and piping, ensuring technical accuracy and timely RBI outputs.

You will review P&IDs, PFDs, isometrics, and engineering drawings; prepare RBI data and corrosion reports; develop WSE; coordinate with client and experts; and maintain document control and databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in inspection engineering, asset integrity, or inspection data development in Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or offshore projects.
• Practical experience in PV, PSD, lifting equipment, and piping inspection deliverables.
• Working knowledge of RBI methodologies, WSE development, corrosion reporting, and inspection planning.
• Strong ability to interpret P&IDs, PFDs, isometrics, and engineering drawings.
• Very good Microsoft Excel skills, including data reconciliation, lookup functions, pivot tables, data validation, and management of large asset registers.
• Experience with inspection and asset-management software such as AVEVA, VERSA, and SAP is an advantage.
• Good technical writing, attention to detail, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update asset registers for PV, PSD, lifting equipment, and piping systems.
• Perform P&ID and PFD mark-ups to identify, verify, and reconcile equipment, inspection items, tags, and piping systems.
• Prepare and update RBI data, assessments, and mitigation reports.
• Upload, validate, and maintain Pressure Vessel RBI data in the relevant inspection-management system.
• Prepare and update corrosion reports and associated inspection engineering documentation.
• Develop and maintain Written Schemes of Examination (WSE) for pressure vessels, pressure safety devices, lifting equipment, and piping, as applicable to project scope.
• Prepare and maintain piping appurtenances and equipment lists, ensuring traceability to source documents.
• Validate equipment tags, inspection attributes, and asset data against P&IDs, isometrics, equipment lists, and other engineering documents.
• Coordinate with the client, inspection specialists, and other work packages to resolve missing tags, data discrepancies, and technical comments.
• Review and incorporate the client's comments, maintain document revisions, and support timely deliverable issuance through the document control process.
• Maintain inspection registers, progress trackers, and technical databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of deliverables.
