Work standard in Al-Rayyan is seeking an experienced Indian Chef to join our team. You will be responsible for creating authentic Indian dishes for our restaurant and ensuring high standards of quality.

This full-time role requires at least 2 years of experience, knowledge of Indian spices, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Salary is $1700 per month.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook traditional Indian dishes according to recipes and standards
• Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner
• Monitor food supplies and place orders when necessary
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times
• Train new kitchen staff on recipes, techniques, and safety procedures
• Collaborate with management to create new menu items and specials
• Ensure quality control by regularly tasting dishes and adjusting seasoning as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as an Indian Chef in a professional kitchen environment
• Knowledge of traditional Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English language
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if needed

Preferred

• Certification or degree in Culinary Arts or related field
• Experience working in a high-end restaurant or hotel
• Fluency in Hindi or other regional Indian languages
