This HSE Project Manager role leads the development and implementation of the Project HSE Management System on high-profile projects in Doha, supporting the Project Director to achieve HSE objectives.

The candidate will have 10+ years in HSE, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with concurrent base building works in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in HSE, civil, electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience with HSE projects.
• Experience and knowledge of all of the main HSE project management concepts, tools and techniques.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including MS-Project.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-practice HSE solutions and monitor reporting to client standards.
• Represent Project Owner to explain HSE implementation to client candidates.
• Monitor and review HSE standards on site.
• Lead safety briefings and use the Health, Safety, Wellbeing app.
• Ensure contractors have compliant safety training.
• Promote safety accountability across the project team.
• Drive zero-tolerance safety culture.
• Oversee site supervision of works to address risks.

Job Description

Manage the development and implementation of Project HSE Management System including the HSE action monitoring system and incident reporting procedure, in compliance with internal management system and any Client specified requirements.Provide advice and support to the Project Director/ Manager on the processes and procedures required to deliver HSE objectives.

Key responsibilities

• To provide the best practice HSE solution on day-to-day monitor and report to maintain Project Owner standards
• To represent Project Owner to explain HSE construction implementation activities to client candidates
• To monitor and review the implementation of HSE standard at the construction site
• Ensuring project meeting that we chair starts with a Health & Safety moment which we initiate through our dedicated Health, Safety, Wellbeing App
• Ensuring all contractors and vendors on site have a requisite level of compliant safety training resulting in them having a high degree of hazard awareness
• Adopting a collaborative approach to health and safety across the entire project team promoting safety accountability at all levels, including from the client
• Setting a zero-tolerance health and safety culture
• Adopting health and safety assurance process emphasizes leading indicators, which are effective in the developing mitigations to risks on the project site
• Proactively undertaking site supervision of works activities to address safety concerns or identified risk activities

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in HSE, civil engineering, electrical / mechanical engineering or similar function.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience with HSE projects.
• Experience and knowledge of all of the main HSE project management concepts, tools and techniques.
• Ability to coordinate with the concurrent base building works.
• Conversant to a competent level with Microsoft Office (incl MS-Project Management).
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressure environment, to meet often tight deadlines, and to work pro-actively as part of a committed team.
• Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and/or knowledge in project management and keep current with developments and trends.
• Knowledge and ability to use applicable information technology and systems to meet work needs.
• Strong leadership, communication & interpersonal skills.
• Data Center Experince is required.
