Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Vaccination Subject Matter Expert to provide functional expertise on immunization registries and vaccination workflows. You will design, configure, and optimize Immunization Information Systems (IIS) aligned with interoperability standards and reporting needs.

The role collaborates with engineering, integration, and data teams to translate domain requirements into system capabilities and analytics use cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Health Informatics, Pharmacy, or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in immunization programs, vaccination registries, or vaccine management systems.
• Hands-on experience with one or more Immunization Information Systems (IIS).
• Strong knowledge of national or regional vaccination programs and immunization registries.
• Working knowledge of HL7 v2.x VXU messaging, ACK handling, and CVX/MVX vocabularies.
• Familiarity with FHIR R4 resources, including Immunization, Patient, and Encounter.
• Understanding of analytics and machine learning use cases in immunization, such as coverage forecasting and risk scoring.
• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is highly preferred.
• Experience within GCC or Middle East public health environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own the functional configuration of immunization registry workflows, including vaccine ordering, population management, deduplication, and ambiguous ID handling.
• Define HL7 VXU/ACK message mappings, validation rules, and vocabulary usage (CVX, MVX) with integration teams.
• Develop specifications for FHIR Immunization resources and related APIs.
• Validate reports and dashboards to ensure accuracy of coverage, completeness, and adherence metrics.
• Support data science teams in defining features and labels for vaccination forecasting and risk-scoring models.
• Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), stakeholder demonstrations, and end-user training.
• Serve as the Level-3 escalation point for vaccination-related functional issues.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, vaccine schedules, and operational documentation.
