Job summary

Airswift, a global manpower provider, is sourcing a Head of SHES for a major Oil & Gas operator on a long-term contract in Doha, Qatar.

Based at the onshore Doha HQ, the role requires leadership of SHES strategy and governance, regulatory compliance, contractor SHES performance, risk control, incident investigations, and workforce engagement across the project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in sciences, safety, health, environment security, or engineering.
• 10 years’ experience in SHES in the Oil & Gas Industry, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or oversight role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Project SHES strategy and governance framework.
• Ensure compliance with client SHES Management System and regulatory requirements.
• Direct contractor SHES performance management and assurance programmes.
• Provide SHES leadership to Project Management and Operations.
• Lead strategic risk management and critical risk control verification.
• Approve Project SHES Plans, procedures and assurance programmes.
• Lead major incident investigations and organisational learning.
• Develop SHES capability, succession planning and leadership coaching.
• Drive workforce engagement, worker welfare and positive safety culture.
• Promote continuous improvement and SHES excellence throughout project execution.

We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source a Head of SHES. This is a long-term contract role.

6 days per week / 8-10 hours per day or as per project requirement

• Lead the Project SHES strategy and governance framework.
• Ensure compliance with client SHES Management System and regulatory requirements.
• Direct contractor SHES performance management and assurance programmes.
• Provide SHES leadership to Project Management and Operations.

• Approve Project SHES Plans, procedures and assurance programmes.
