Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced Head of Security to lead security operations across our properties in Qatar. The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and risk management to protect employees, guests, contractors, and assets.

You will oversee internal and outsourced security teams, develop policies, and coordinate with authorities. Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred, and a high level of integrity and decision-making is expected.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Head of Security to lead and oversee security operations across our properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, guests, clients, contractors, visitors, company assets, and properties.

The role requires strong leadership, operational planning, risk management, incident handling, and the ability to manage both internal and outsourced security teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee security operations across multiple properties and locations, including manpower deployment, shift planning, operational discipline, and performance monitoring.
• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, operational standards, and emergency response plans in line with company requirements and applicable Qatar regulations.
• Manage and monitor outsourced security service providers, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, service standards, manpower deployment, and performance expectations.
• Conduct regular security, safety, hazard, and risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement corrective actions and continuous security improvements.
• Monitor and lead the response to security incidents, accidents, losses, breaches, and emergencies, including investigations, reporting, crisis management, evacuation procedures, and coordination with relevant authorities.
• Oversee CCTV, access control, alarm systems, electronic key systems, visitor management, patrol procedures, and other security equipment, ensuring regular inspection, testing, and maintenance.
• Lead loss prevention, security training, emergency drills, special security arrangements, and stakeholder coordination, while preparing security reports, risk assessments, and management updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in security, safety, loss prevention, or a related field, including previous experience in a senior security management or supervisory role.
• Proven experience managing security operations across multiple properties or locations, including outsourced security companies and large security teams.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, risk assessment, loss prevention, incident investigation, emergency response, and crisis management.
• Knowledge of CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and other electronic security systems, with an understanding of Qatar’s applicable security, safety, labour, and regulatory requirements.
• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. Relevant certifications in Security, Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, First Aid, or Emergency Management will be an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, problem-solving, planning, organization, and people-management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong report-writing and computer skills. Arabic and English language proficiency is preferred.
