Kempinski Hotels SA is seeking a Head Bartender for our Doha location. You will oversee the bar operations, lead the bar team, and ensure an exceptional guest experience by crafting cocktails and maintaining industry standards.

You will train staff, manage stock and menus, and collaborate with management on beverage programs and events. This role requires strong leadership, service orientation, and comprehensive knowledge of cocktails and bar procedures.

Formación

• Experience as head bartender or supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails and beverage preparation.
• Experience in inventory and cash handling.
• Ability to train staff and manage schedules.

Head Bartender

Description

The Head bartender oversees the outlet's bar operations and other bartenders' work to ensure that they provide positive customer experience. He/she ensures the smooth running of the bar. He/she should also be skilled in serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to restaurant and bar patrons. He/she may serve beer and wine, make classic drinks or create new recipes for cocktails

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the bar, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the bar staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests, delivering exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns or complaints.
• Develop and update cocktail menus in collaboration with management, taking into account current trends, customer preferences, and seasonal ingredients.
• Train and educate the bar team on cocktail preparation techniques, product knowledge, and responsible alcohol service.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of alcoholic beverages and adherence to sanitation standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including equipment, glassware, and utensils.
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock to minimize wastage and optimize profitability.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and techniques, and share knowledge with the team.
• Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute special events, promotions, and beverage-related initiatives.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
