Wood in Doha, Qatar is hiring a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. The role involves delivering engineering and design work across FEED, EPC projects, and feasibility studies as part of a seasoned team.

The position offers exposure to onshore oil and gas projects, with a focus on safety, quality, and professional development within Wood's global standards.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related qualification.
• HVAC experience mandatory.
• CAD software knowledge such as AutoCAD.

Responsabilidades

• Perform engineering and design work under guidance using Wood and Client design methods, standards and data.
• Adhere to Wood Behaviours and Code of Business Conduct.
• Understand and comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Comply with Health, Safety, Security and Environmental and Quality Management.
• Support internal development and continuous improvement activities actively.
• Receive exposure to other disciplines including site construction.

Typical responsibilities

• Perform engineering and design work under guidance using Wood and/or Client design methods, standards and data, to a high quality and in accordance with Project requirements
• Adhere to Wood Behaviours and Code of Business Conduct
• Understand and comply with applicable regulatory requirements
• Comply with Health, Safety, Security and Environmental and Quality Management
• Procedures of Wood and Client
• Support internal development and continuous improvement activities actively
• Keep informed, by reasonable means, of technical developments in the industry
• Undertake prescribed training with the objective of gaining appropriate professional qualification (P.E. or equivalent). Undertake technical training as authorized by Manager to further career development and / or Wood capability
• Receive exposure to other disciplines including site construction

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineeringor related Engineering qualificationwith 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent
• HVAC experience mandatory
• Engineering registration with Qatar Ministry of Municipality and Environment is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiar with CAD Software like AutoCAD, etc.
• Motivated, organized, resourceful and proactive
• Flexible and positive approach with a can-do attitude and a desire to win
• Able to work in a team environment
