Job summary
Petrotec is seeking an Industrial Automation Engineer with hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems. The role requires independent work, ownership of tasks, and delivering timely technical resolutions while aligning with internal processes and safety standards.
You will work on preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, firmware upgrades, and documentation, while coordinating with teams to support process automation across projects.
Qualifications
- Experience in industrial automation maintenance and support.
- Ability to diagnose faults in PLC, HMI, SCADA and field instrumentation.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of PLC systems and control panels.
- Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, and field instrumentation faults.
- Monitor alarms, diagnose issues, and restore operations.
- Assist in PLC program backup, restoration, and firmware upgrades.
- Maintain I/O checks, loop testing, and signal verification.
- Maintain industrial networks: Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, Profibus.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including I/O lists and diagrams.
- Ensure proper software versions and backups of programs.
