Job summary

McDermott International is seeking a Commissioning Engineer responsible for applying conceptual knowledge and solving straightforward problems under guidance. You will support the project through site testing, walk-downs, and coordination with the client and project team.

Essential qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3–8 years in oil and gas. Travel to international sites and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering (essential).
• 3-8 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant.
• Understanding of commissioning, completions, and training concepts.
• Experience with chemical, refinery, or oil & gas facilities preferred.
• Willingness to travel to international construction sites.
• Proficiency in English; multi-language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Commissioning Manager and support the Principal Commissioning Engineer in deliverables.
• Participate in walk-down inspections, punch listing, and testing including troubleshooting on site.
• Coordinate with the project team and client to maintain relationships.
• Support the commissioning team with manuals, spares, and start-up procedures.
• Perform discipline equipment system checks and function testing.
• Supervise craft personnel for site pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
