Facilities Engineer - Mechanical
Responsibilities
- Experience in Oil & Gas industry, and knowledge of static equipment design codes and standards: Process plant piping design. Excellent knowledge of ASME B31.3, ANSI, API, etc.
- Pressure vessels and heat exchangers design. Excellent knowledge ASME Sec VIII Div 1, Div 2, ANSI, API, TEMA and ALPEMA standards.
- Steward feasibility studies, prepare Scope of Work, complete Work Packages, and Fitness For Service (FFS) assessment.
- Prepare SOW and steward development of static engineering conceptual studies (pre-FEED studies).
- Participate and lead in failure investigations (RCFA/BA). Have good understanding of reliability concepts.
- Participate and lead risk screenings/assessments, and cost-benefit analyses.
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) / Technical Authorities (TAs), extend technical support to address major accident hazards.
- Work independently and address design and operational issues.
- Resolution of plant vulnerabilities and operational issues.
- Development and review of mechanical datasheet and design checks.
- Participate in independent design reviews, model reviews, lessons learned workshops, etc.
- Hands on experience in mechanical/piping standard software used for design CAESAR II, Auto Pipe, PV Elite, Compress, Nozzle Pro, HTRI etc.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree in Mechanical
- 4 years experience in an oil and gas environment
- Computer literate and knowledgeable in relevant software tools
