Job summary

Swan Global in Qatar is seeking a Fabrication Project Engineer / Construction Engineering Specialist to join the COMP5 project within the Fabrication Department. You will report to the Fabrication Manager and drive execution strategies while upholding SHE standards.

You will coordinate with subcontractors, fabrication yards and clients, plan activities, monitor procurement from PR to PO, and review performance against plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (any discipline).
• Minimum 13 years EPC Fabrication experience.
• Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary liaison among subcontractors, fabrication yards, and clients for project progress.
• Prepare execution strategies and plans before project start.
• Plan, manage, and execute projects with SHE, quality and cost in mind.
• Review construction strategies and assess subcontractor performance against plans.
• Identify remedial actions via site verification to ensure proper execution.
• Monitor material purchasing from PR to PO.

About the job Fabrication Project Engineer / Construction Engineering Specialist

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

As Fabrication Project Engineer / Construction Engineering Specialist, you will report to the Fabrication Manager and be an integral part of the COMP5 project within the Fabrication Department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the primary focal point of communication amongst Subcontractors, Fabrication Yards, and Clients regarding daily activities of Fabrication SCTR related to fabrication progress.
• Prepare execution strategy and plans prior to project commencement.
• Conduct overall planning, management, and execution of projects with due consideration to Safety, Health and Environment (SHE), Quality, and Cost.
• Review the correct application of Construction strategies and proper assessment of Subcontractors' performance against prescribed plans using key metrics.
• Identify and implement remedial action plans via site verification to ensure proper execution.
• Monitor and track the material purchasing process from Purchase Requisition (PR) release through to Purchase Order (PO) processing and delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (any discipline)

Experience:

• Minimum 13 years of experience in EPC Fabrication

Languages:

• Proficient in English (written and spoken)

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of EPC projects
• Offshore facility experience
• Fabrication management

IT Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas
