Job summary

Gulf Drilling International is seeking an Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) for offshore Lift Boat assignments in Qatar. The role requires 3–5 years at sea as an ETO, with 2+ years on lift boats and DP2 operations on Jack-Up Barges.

Candidates must hold an ETO certificate (STCW A-III/6), HV management training, and essential STCW safety certifications. Strong PLC, HV safety, and English communication are required.

Position Overview

Role: Electro-Technical Officer (ETO)

Location: Lift Boat -Qatar (Offshore)

Minimum Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of sea service as an ETO on offshore vessels, with at least 2 years of direct experience on lift boats, self-elevating units, or jack-up barges.
• Minimum 1 year experience in rank as ETO on DP2 Jack-Up Barges / Lift Boats.
• High Voltage equipment experience on Lift Barges.

Job-Specific Skills

• Strong proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, electrical schematics reading, variable frequency drives (VFD), high-voltage (HV) safety, and hydraulic-electric interfaces.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Marine Electro-Technology.

• Valid national Certificate of Competency with applicable Flag State endorsement/recognition.
