Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Qatar is seeking an Electrical Engineer to review specifications, schematics, and SAS documents, and to support FATs and vendor evaluation. You will ensure system integration and collaboration with clients.

With a bachelor's in EE and 5+ years in protection systems and substation design, you will review control/protection schematics, perform CT/CVT/PT checks, and contribute to sales optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in protection systems and substation design.
• Proficient in reviewing control and protection schematics and technical documents.
• Knowledge of SAS systems, CT, CVT, PT applications, and relay protection functions.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with client discussions and document approvals.
• Experience in factory acceptance testing and vendor offer evaluation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

• Specification study to align project specs with client requirements.
• Review control and protection schematic drawings for accuracy.
• Analyze SAS documents including FDS, SAS Architecture, GTP, and BOQ.
• Evaluate primary and secondary substation switchgear schematics for coordination.
• Prepare SLDs for protection systems.
• Check CT/CVT/PT applications with relays and protection functions.
• Develop and review cable philosophies and interconnection schedules.
• Review tender/vendor offers for C&R panels.
• Collaborate with clients on drawings approvals.
• Support sales and margin optimization through engineering.
• Conduct FAT for transformers and related equipment.
