Job summary

IRM Energy & Technology, based in Qatar, seeks a Head of Commissioning (Electrical & HV Interface) to lead onshore pre-commissioning and commissioning for major Oil & Gas projects. You will oversee EPC contractor planning, ensure schedule adherence and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or applied sciences.
• 10+ years in major Oil & Gas projects across EPC and commissioning.
• 2 years in supervisory or oversight roles.
• Experience with O&G operators, contractors or service companies.
• Onshore LNG commissioning and operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead EPC Contractor Electrical Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning planning, execution and schedule adherence.
• Oversee electrical scope of work, addressing gaps and coordinating with Operations and other disciplines.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Construction and Operations for efficient execution.
• Ensure compliance with technical requirements and project specifications.
• Verify resources, personnel competency, tools and execution capabilities.
• Validate commissioning procedures, progress measurement and reporting systems.
• Witness electrical testing, punch list walkdowns, PSSR activities and RFSU dossier reviews.
• Monitor schedules and milestones, implementing recovery plans for delays.
• Capture and share lessons learned for current and future projects.
• Review and update commissioning procedures and specifications.
