Job summary

Switzel International seeks an experienced ELV BIM Modeler to support BIM and digital engineering projects. The role covers modeling, coordination, and drawing production for ELV systems; candidates from Qatar, Pakistan, or India may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of relevant BIM modeling experience.
• Diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and working knowledge of Navisworks and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of ELV systems and multidisciplinary BIM coordination.
• Experience preparing coordinated shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Ability to interpret IFC drawings, specs, and equipment schedules.
• Capable of working independently with limited supervision and meeting deadlines.
• Good written and verbal English communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate ELV BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
• Coordinate ELV systems and produce shop and as-built drawings.
• Perform multidisciplinary coordination with architectural, structural, MEP disciplines.
• Identify and resolve clashes using Revit and Navisworks.
• Review IFC drawings, specs, and consultant comments.
• Maintain model standards, naming conventions, and project coordinates.
• Contribute to LOD 350, 400, and 500 model development.
• Attend online coordination meetings and report progress clearly.
• Deliver tasks on schedule with required quality.

Job Description

Switzel International is seeking an experienced ELV BIM Modeler to support our BIM and digital engineering projects.

The candidate must have strong practical experience in modeling, coordinating, and producing drawings for ELV systems. Candidates based in Qatar, Pakistan, or India may apply. A work-from-home arrangement may be offered to candidates who can work independently, communicate effectively, and consistently meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate ELV BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
• Model and coordinate ELV systems based on approved designs, specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare coordinated shop drawings and as-built drawings from BIM models.
• Perform multidisciplinary coordination with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.
• Identify and resolve clashes using Revit and Navisworks.
• Review IFC drawings, technical specifications, approved materials, and consultant comments.
• Incorporate coordination changes, site redlines, and consultant comments into models and drawings.
• Maintain project coordinates, naming conventions, model standards, and drawing quality.
• Support the development of LOD 350, LOD 400, and LOD 500 models.
• Attend online coordination meetings and communicate progress and technical issues clearly.
• Complete assigned tasks according to project schedules and quality requirements.

ELV Systems Experience

The candidate should have experience with several of the following systems:

• Fire alarm systems
• ICT and structured cabling
• CCTV and security systems
• Access control systems
• Public address and voice evacuation systems
• Audio-visual systems
• Building management system interfaces
• Telephone and data systems
• Nurse call systems
• Master clock systems
• Intercom systems
• Other specialist ELV systems

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum five years of relevant BIM modeling experience.
• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Good working knowledge of Navisworks Manage and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of ELV systems and multidisciplinary BIM coordination.
• Experience preparing coordinated shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Ability to understand IFC drawings, specifications, schematics, equipment schedules, and technical submittals.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Reliable computer, internet connection, and remote-working setup for work-from-home candidates.

Preferred Experience

• Qatar or GCC project experience.
• Hospital or healthcare project experience.
• Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360.
• Experience working on complex, multidisciplinary construction projects.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 BIM workflows and project CDE requirements.
