Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering is seeking a Full Time Offshore Inspector to oversee electrical and instrumentation installations in Qatar. You will conduct inspections, verify materials, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with project specs, QCS, IEC/IEEE standards, and offshore safety requirements.

You will witness commissioning activities, maintain calibration records and liaise with construction teams, QA/QC, and client representatives.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 5–7 years offshore inspection experience in oil & gas projects.
• Experience enforcing HSE requirements on offshore facilities.
• Familiarity with QA/QC processes and non-conformance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of electrical and instrumentation installations to ensure compliance with project specs, QCS and IEC/IEEE standards.
• Verify materials, equipment and workmanship against approved drawings and procedures.
• Enforce offshore HSE requirements, including PTW systems, confined space entry and electrical isolation procedures.
• Prepare inspection reports, maintain calibration records and issue NCRs when required.
• Liaise with construction teams, QA/QC and client representatives during inspections and approvals.
• Witness and verify pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Ensure all electrical and instrumentation work is executed under valid permits.
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions; suggest improvements in inspection practices and safety culture.

Verify materials, equipment, and workmanship against approved drawings and procedures.

Enforce offshore HSE requirements, including PTW systems, confined space entry, and electrical isolation procedures.

Prepare inspection reports, maintain calibration records, and issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) when required.

Liaise with construction teams, QA/QC, and client representatives during inspections and approvals.

Witness and verify pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical and instrumentation systems.

Ensure all electrical and instrumentation work is executed under valid permits.

Confirm calibration of instruments and maintain traceability records.
