Job summary

Qatar Technical Institute (QTI) seeks a Humanities Instructor to deliver the Humanities curriculum to military students within the General Studies department, covering Qatar History, Human Rights, and Islamic Culture in line with MoEHE standards.

The successful candidate will plan engaging lessons, foster an inclusive learning environment, and support student progress while maintaining academic rigor in a professional military setting.

Qualifications

• Holds qualified teacher status or a relevant education and training qualification in a Humanities subject or related field.
• Relevant experience teaching Humanities to international students in various contexts.
• Knowledge of Qatar History, Human Rights, Islamic Culture, or Social Studies.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach Humanities subjects within the General Studies programme.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements and address diverse student needs.
• Apply effective classroom management strategies and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Provide academic and pastoral support to students throughout their learning journey.
• Assess student progress using formative and summative methods.
• Provide timely and constructive oral and written feedback.
• Monitor, record, and report student progress, attendance, and behaviour as required by QTI.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance within the department.
• Maintain accurate student and administrative records and engage with performance management processes.
