Instructors at Qatar Technical Institute (QTI) form the backbone of thetraining ecosystem and play a critical role in delivering high-qualityvocational, technical and defence training in accordance with the Ministry ofEducation and Higher Education (MoEHE) standards. The Humanities instructorworks in the General Studies department, which forms the first year of atwo-year diploma.
The primary role of the Humanities Instructor is to deliver the Humanitiescurriculum to military students in accordance with all policies and processesat the QTI. The role involves teaching and supporting the creation,maintenance, and delivery of Humanities subjects, including Qatar History, Human Rights, and Islamic Culture, to specific standards within the General Studies department.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to plan and implement engaginglessons based on MoEHE curriculum. They will create an inclusive learningenvironment that supports student success while maintaining academic rigor andadherence to institutional standards. The ideal candidate will demonstratestrong communication skills, a commitment to student-centered learning, and theability to inspire interest and achievement in the different subjects within Humanities.
The role involves engaging in regular feedback meetings with SeniorInstructors in support of continuous improvement of the instructor’s classesand the department as a whole. Taking ownership of their classes and leading byexample, the instructor must demonstrate professionalism and flexibility. Theinstructor must also demonstrate a commitment to continuous professionaldevelopment and continuous improvement initiatives within the QTI.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility andadaptability in responding to changing priorities, student needs, andorganisational requirements. They will work collaboratively with colleagues andmilitary stakeholders to support student achievement and departmentalobjectives, fostering positive and productive working relationships across theorganisation. The instructor will be agile to meet evolving educational andorganizational requirements, embracing change and maintaining a proactiveapproach to ensure the continued success of students, the department, and theQTI.

In addition to the primary teaching specialism,Instructors may be required to support the delivery, development, assessment,verification, and administration of other subject areas, programmes, ortraining activities within the organisation as directed by the Customer, LineManager, Head of Department, or Head of the Organisation. Such responsibilitieswill be allocated based on the Instructors/Lecturers qualifications,professional experience, industry background, demonstrated competence, andprevious teaching or training experience. Where appropriate, Instructors/Lecturersmay be provided with internal training, mentoring, professional development, orfamiliarisation activities to enable them to undertake additional teaching andtraining responsibilities effectively.
