Job summary

Qatar Airways is looking for an IT Infrastructure and OT Security Controller based in Doha, Qatar. This pivotal role is responsible for managing infrastructure services and operational technology security across Qatar Airways Group. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in related fields and the ability to support complex airport systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in OT infrastructure, OT cybersecurity, or industrial control system environments.
• Experience within critical infrastructure such as airport systems, utilities, or oil and gas environments.
• Strong knowledge of airport operational systems including baggage handling, fire alarm systems, and building management systems.
• Practical understanding of OT security technologies including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and BacNet.
• Knowledge of ISA or IEC 62443 concepts including zones and defense in depth principles.
• Experience supporting OT upgrades and compliance validation.
• Ability to produce structured technical documentation and standards.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills with IT and vendor teams.
• Relevant certifications such as GICSP or ISA IEC 62443 are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee IT infrastructure solutions aligned with corporate technology standards.
• Control installation, upgrade, maintenance, and operational support of infrastructure systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis for operational incidents and implement changes.
• Ensure 24x7 availability and reliability of passenger systems and security systems.
• Manage delivery of infrastructure and OT security projects within defined parameters.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure compliance.
• Implement and maintain documented IT processes aligned with ITIL and ISO standards.
• Support OT‑IT convergence initiatives while maintaining network segmentation.
• Oversee OT network zoning concepts and VLAN configurations.
• Participate in architecture reviews and validation of security controls.
• Support operational technology security monitoring and collaboration with incident response teams.
• Maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams and security standards.
