Job summary

Woopel in Doha is seeking an experienced Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, including exams, diagnosis, and treatment of vision problems, and prescribing eyewear.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Optometry, is licensed to practice in Doha, and has at least 3 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred.

This is a full-time onsite role with a monthly salary of 1,000 QAR and a commitment to high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Optometry or related field.
• Licensed to practice optometry in Doha.
• At least 3 years’ experience working as an Optometrist.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Fluency in English & Arabic (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams on patients of all ages
• Diagnose and treat vision problems
• Prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses
• Provide advice about preventative care for maintaining healthy eyesight
• Monitor the progress of existing conditions and refer patients to other healthcare specialists as needed
• Document patient records accurately and keep detailed patient histories
• Ensure the highest quality of patient care is maintained at all times
• Adhere to all professional standards of practice
