Job summary

AECOM in Doha, Qatar seeks an experienced Design Manager - Highways to lead the design and delivery of complex highway projects. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, ensure quality and innovation, and drive projects from concept through completion.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years in civil infrastructure and proven leadership, with strong CAD/BIM proficiency and a track record of managing design budgets and stakeholder relationships in a consultancy or corporate setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years in civil infrastructure project management and design, with highway focus.
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for highway projects from planning to delivery.
• Inspire and manage multidisciplinary design teams across offices.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for complex multicentre projects.
• Monitor progress, timelines, and specifications; adjust as needed.
• Identify and mitigate risks; ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
• Manage budgets and optimize resources without compromising quality.
• Maintain documentation and present reports to stakeholders.
• Adopt organizational project delivery standards and customer-focused solutions.
