Job summary

AECOM in Doha, Qatar is seeking a detail-oriented BIM Technician specializing in wet utilities to create, manage, and coordinate Building Information Models focused on water supply, drainage, and sewage infrastructure. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate modeling, clash detection, and seamless project coordination on regional infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit, Navisworks, or similar modeling platforms.
Expertise in MEP systems and wet utilities infrastructure.
Strong understanding of water supply, drainage, sewage, and related utilities.
Experience with 3D modeling, coordination, and clash detection.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in CAD software and technical documentation.
Minimum 5 years of professional BIM coordination or wet utilities experience.
Experience on infrastructure or construction projects with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong organizational and data management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for wet utilities systems using industry-standard software such as Revit, Navisworks, or equivalent platforms.
Coordinate MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems with architectural and structural models to identify and resolve clashes and conflicts.
Perform clash detection analysis and generate comprehensive reports with recommended solutions.
Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation from BIM models for construction and coordination purposes.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure model accuracy and project alignment.
Manage and organize BIM data, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with project standards and protocols.
Analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications to accurately represent wet utilities infrastructure in the model.
Support project teams with BIM coordination meetings and provide technical guidance on modeling standards.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, standards, and best practices relevant to Qatar and the GCC region.
Maintain organized project files and documentation for efficient data retrieval and project continuity.
