Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd is looking for a BIM Technician - Wet Utilities to support major infrastructure projects across Doha. The ideal candidate will focus on accurate BIM model development for water, wastewater, and stormwater systems, integrating 3D modelling expertise into the role.

This full-time position seeks individuals with a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering, at least 5 years of BIM experience, and strong skills in Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience working with BIM for wet utilities.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D.
• Solid understanding of water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
• Skilled in 3D modelling and technical drafting.
• Experience with Dynamo scripting and BIM automation.
• Familiarity with regional utility codes and design standards.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• BIM certification preferred.
• Ability to adapt to large-scale project environments in Doha.

Position Overview

The BIM Technician - Wet Utilities role supports major infrastructure and utilities projects across Doha. The position focuses on accurate BIM model development, integration, and automation for water, wastewater, and stormwater systems, combining 3D modelling expertise with strong understanding of wet utility engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop coordinated BIM models for wet utility networks, including gravity and pressurized systems
• Produce design drawings across LOD 100-500 as required by project scope
• Apply Dynamo scripting to automate BIM tasks and improve model accuracy
• Work closely with engineers and designers to ensure seamless model integration
• Use Part Builder to customize wet utility components and maintain compliant catalogs
• Conduct quality checks to verify accuracy and compliance with project standards
• Update BIM models throughout design revisions, ensuring accurate documentation
• Support team members by providing guidance on BIM tools, workflows, and automation
• Stay current with industry updates and evolving best practices in BIM and utilities
