Job summary

The ideal candidate has at least a high school diploma, 2 years of commercial bakery experience, strong time management, attention to detail, and the ability to work weekends and holidays. Excellent communication and ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working as a baker in a commercial bakery.
• Knowledge of baking techniques and methods.
• Attention to detail with exceptional time management skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time while performing job duties.

Responsibilities

• Mixing and preparing doughs, batters, and other ingredients according to established recipes
• Baking breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods in accordance with quality standards
• Decorating cakes and pastries using various techniques
• Ensuring all products are consistently baked to perfection
• Maintaining inventory levels of ingredients and supplies
• Cleaning work area and equipment after each use to ensure health and safety standards are met
• Assisting with creating new recipes and menu items as needed
