Job summary

Merik Solutions in Doha is seeking a software engineer to deliver AI solutions for government, energy, and enterprise clients. You will build and deploy LLM-powered applications, intelligent document processing, and decision-support systems, working on site with the Gulf region’s digital programs.

You will collaborate with regional teams, relocate if needed, and engage with enterprise and public-sector stakeholders to advance large-scale digital initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python skills.
• Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Experience deploying services on Azure or AWS.
• Comfort working on site with enterprise and public-sector clients.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship LLM-powered applications, RAG pipelines, and AI assistants for Gulf-region clients.
• Develop intelligent document processing for Arabic and English content.
• Integrate AI services with client platforms, data estates, and security requirements.
• Run discovery sessions and proofs of concept with client stakeholders in Doha.
• Harden prototypes into production systems with evaluation, monitoring, and guardrails.
• Work closely with our Islamabad and US engineering hubs on shared tooling.
