Job summary

Arkan Marketing Services in Qatar is seeking a hands-on Delivery Operations Lead to own daily last-mile delivery operations. You will coordinate dispatch, plan routes, track driver activity and resolve delivery issues, working closely with stores, customer service, drivers and external providers.

You will implement SOPs, improve driver productivity and maintain visibility over every order, with responsibilities spanning dispatch records, proofs of delivery and cash handovers.

Qualifications

• Three+ years in last-mile delivery or courier operations.
• Proven ability to coordinate drivers, dispatch and route planning.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar roads and delivery zones.
• Experience coordinating external delivery providers and peak-period capacity.
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets and delivery-tracking tools.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Delivery Operations Lead to take ownership of daily last-mile delivery operations in Qatar. You will personally coordinate dispatch, plan routes, track driver activity, and resolve delivery issues. You will also improve driver productivity, establish clear procedures, and maintain accurate visibility over every order. working closely with the store team, customer service, drivers and external delivery providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily dispatch, assign orders to drivers and plan efficient routes based on location, priority and agreed delivery timelines.
• Monitor driver movement, availability and workload, adjusting assignments as new orders arrive.
• Follow each order from pickup through delivery confirmation, unsuccessful delivery or return.
• Identify delays, unnecessary trips, waiting time and uneven workloads, and implement practical improvements.
• Plan driver coverage with delivery providers and arrange additional capacity during peak periods.
• Review driver punctuality, delivery results, customer complaints and compliance; coordinate corrective action or replacement with providers when required.
• Create and implement SOPs for pickup, customer contact, delivery confirmation, failed deliveries, returns and cash handover.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, timestamps, proof of delivery and reasons for unsuccessful attempts.
• Follow up with drivers, store administration and Finance to confirm cash and returned-product handovers and resolve outstanding discrepancies.
• Provide daily delivery summaries and weekly analysis covering delivery completion, delays, driver productivity and improvement actions.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in last-mile delivery, courier dispatch or e-commerce delivery operations.
• Proven experience directly coordinating drivers, allocating orders, planning routes and resolving delivery problems.
• Good knowledge of Qatar's roads and delivery areas.
• Experience coordinating external delivery providers and additional drivers during peak periods.
• Practical experience improving dispatch procedures and driver performance.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, digital maps and delivery tracking tools.
• Understanding of cash-on-delivery controls, proof of delivery and returns procedures.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving and follow-up skills.
• Strong English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
• Ready to join immediately in Qatar.
