Job summary

Qatar Airways is seeking a Defect Control Engineer-Level II in Line Maintenance Production Control to enhance aircraft performance and airworthiness by providing in-depth technical recommendations on fleet defects. You will monitor deferred defects, guide troubleshooting, and support fleet reliability across Doha operations.

Qualifications

• High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification / Diploma or Equivalent with 5+ years of job-related experience, or
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with 4+ years of job-related experience
• Minimum 5 years of certifying experience
• Degree or Diploma/License in Aircraft Maintenance
• Minimum 2 type Authorization in QR Fleet
• QCAA B1 or B2 License
• In-depth knowledge of company/regulatory procedures

Responsibilities

• Manage fleet Deferred Defects and ensure updates to quality before due date.
• Provide troubleshooting recommendations after reviewing Technical Documents.
• Analyze recurrent defects to prevent repeats.
• Monitor fleet defects using OEM health platforms and suggest rectifications.
• Manage components on hold per policy and procedures.
• Support Fleet manager with information and reports as required.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Planning and MOCC to initiate CRMs and maintenance slots.
• Provide on-demand technical guidance during Doha AOG and OOS events.
• Attend daily production meetings and defect reviews.
• Ensure compliance with safety and airworthiness procedures.
