Job summary

SSC Egypt in Qatar is seeking an experienced Cost Controller for a major Oil & Gas Shutdown/Turnaround (SD/TA) project. The role focuses on budgeting, cost control, and performance monitoring during shutdowns.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering with 4-5 years in Oil & Gas and at least 4 years GCC experience in SD/TA projects. PMP is an added advantage.

Location: Qatar; Salary: QAR 8,000 + FAT. Knowledge of Primavera P6, ERP systems, and advanced Excel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
• 4-5 years of Oil & Gas experience in relevant roles.
• GCC experience: minimum 4 years in Shutdown/Turnaround projects.
• PMP certification is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Project budgeting and cost control.
• Track budget, commitments, actual costs and forecasts.
• Daily/weekly cost monitoring during shutdown execution.
• Manpower and man-hour cost tracking.
• Productivity and Earned Value monitoring (EV, PV, AC, CPI & SPI).
• EAC/ETC forecasts and cost reporting.
• Dashboards, S-curves and management reports.
• Handle scope changes, variations and change orders.
• Cost reconciliation and project close-out.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Planning & Timekeeping teams.
