Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Cost Control Engineer to join the Doha, Qatar team. The role reports to the Head of Project Control and focuses on cost setup, budgeting, forecasting, and risk analysis for EPC projects.

You will review invoices, prepare change orders, and generate monthly internal and client reports while ensuring HSE and quality standards are followed. ASAP start is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Set up cost control procedures and budgets.
• Estimate forecasts, quantities, and costs.
• Provide risk analysis on EPC contracts as needed.
• Review and approve vendor/subcontractor invoices.
• Assist project managers in budgeting profits.
• Prepare change orders/claims and track them.
• Generate PMR and client status reports monthly.
• Develop monthly cash flow reports.
• Verify invoices for accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards.

About the opportunity we offer

• Setting up cost control procedures
• Setting up budgets and the specific tool to follow the project costs
• Estimation of total forecasts, Quantity/ costs, and expected outcomes
• Provide risk analysis on EPC contracts, whenever required by the project manager or the chief operation officer (COO), to point out the items with the most significant impact on the cost.
• Commitment control and vendor/Subcontractors invoice approval.
• Assisting project managers in optimizing and improving their budgeted profits.
• Preparation of Change orders/Claims and follow-up.
• Generation of Monthly internal (PMR)/external status reports (Client reports)
• Development of Cash flows monthly.
• Involved in verifying the invoices to ensure their accuracy.
• Development of statistical and close-out reports, with a view toward improving feedback data and estimation tools on future contracts, and proposals.
• Complying with and implementing both company and client HSE management system objectives and procedures.
• Complying with corporate Quality standards as stipulated in the quality manual and its ensuing.
• Complying with the company procedures applicable for this department as they are documented
