Job summary

Technip Energies is seeking a Cost Control/Project Controls professional for our Doha operations. You will establish cost control procedures, set up budgets, and monitor project costs to support profitable delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and experience in cost control, budgeting, and risk analysis on EPC projects. You will contribute to cash flow management, change orders, and monthly reporting within a dynamic, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in cost control, budgeting, and change management.
• Familiarity with EPC contracts and project controls processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up cost control procedures.
• Set up budgets and tools to follow project costs.
• Estimate total forecasts, quantities/costs, and outcomes.
• Provide risk analysis on EPC contracts as required by PM/COO.
• Manage commitment control and vendor/subcontractor invoice approvals.
• Assist PMs in optimizing budgeted profits.
• Prepare change orders/claims and follow-up.
• Generate monthly PMR and client reports.
• Develop monthly cash flows.
• Verify invoices for accuracy.

About the opportunity we offer:

• Setting up cost control procedures
• Setting up budgets and the specific tool to follow the project costs
• Estimation of total forecasts, Quantity/ costs, and expected outcomes
• Provide risk analysis on EPC contracts, whenever required by the project manager or the chief operation officer (COO), to point out the items with the most significant impact on the cost.
• Commitment control and vendor/Subcontractors invoice approval.
• Assisting project managers in optimizing and improving their budgeted profits.
• Preparation of Change orders/Claims and follow-up.
• Generation of Monthly internal (PMR)/external status reports (Client reports)
• Development of Cash flows monthly.
• Involved in verifying the invoices to ensure their accuracy.
• Development of statistical and close-out reports, with a view toward improving feedback data and estimation tools on future contracts, and proposals.
• Complying with and implementing both company and client HSE management system objectives and procedures.
• Complying with corporate Quality standards as stipulated in the quality manual and its ensuing.
• Complying with the company procedures applicable for this department as they are documented
