Job summary

Qatar Airways Group is seeking a Contracts Officer to coordinate contract reviews, ensure prompt circulation and finalization, and address issues while maintaining compliance with QR standards and policies.

You will engage with internal and external stakeholders for input, negotiations, and advice, ensuring timely updates and accurate contract statuses across the supplier network.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Bachelor of Law - LLB.
  • Experience in a multinational environment preferably in an airline/travel/retail/hospitality business.
  • Strong communications skills - fluent in English (verbal and written).
  • Computer literate with a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Ability to manage office workflow, strong attention to detail and organized in managing contracts and document control.
  • Good knowledge of corporate policies pertaining to Contracts and Agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead the review process to guarantee contracts are circulated and finalized promptly.
  • Monitor potential issues within contracts, inform line manager, and suggest mitigations.
  • Address non-compliance to align with QR standards and company policies.
  • Foster collaboration across departments by engaging with relevant teams and stakeholders for input, negotiations, and advice.
  • Provide regular updates to the Contracts Manager on contract performance and communicate issues clearly.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of contract statuses with latest information and performance metrics.
  • Manage and track vendor creation in QCAS for new suppliers, and lead coordination with suppliers and contractors for processing.
  • Raise Q-CAS requests as per management instructions and ensure actions are initiated promptly.
  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines and department objectives.
  • Draft contracts as requested by Contracts Manager or Legal Department in accordance with business requirements.
  • Ensure knowledge of and compliance with QR Group standards and policies and procedures.
  • Highlight exceptions and deviations from group policies to protect QR Group’s interests.
  • Provide client/partner support to ensure smooth information flow and resolve infringements arising from contracts.
  • Maintain a register for templates and standard terms and conditions.
  • Propose and initiate standardization of terms and conditions for various contract types and business models.
  • Perform other department duties as directed by the Head of the Department

Job description

  • Highlight exceptions and deviations from group policies, procedures, and regulatory and mandatory requirements to ensure QR Group’s interests are protected.
  • Provide client/partner support to ensure the smooth flow of information between key stakeholders, resolving any infringements arising from existing contracts.
  • Maintain a register for all the templates and standard terms and conditions.
  • Propose and initiate the standardization of terms and conditions for various types of contracts and business models.
  • Perform other department duties related to his / her position as directed by the Head of the Department
