Job summary

AquaNav is seeking an Indian Librarian to join our team in Al-Khor on a contract basis. The role involves assisting patrons, cataloging, and promoting reading programs while maintaining accurate records.

We expect a Bachelor’s in Library Science, strong English skills, and a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who can work independently or as part of a team. Visa sponsorship will be provided; urgent hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field required.
• Proven experience in a librarian role or library setting preferred.
• Knowledge of cataloging systems, reference tools and information resources required.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons in locating and accessing library materials.
• Provide reference services and answer research questions.
• Manage circulation of materials including checking out and returning items.
• Maintain accurate records of library transactions.
• Develop and implement programs and events to promote reading and literacy.
• Monitor inventory levels and order new materials as needed.
• Keep the library clean, organized, and attractive for patrons.
• Collaborate with other librarians to plan and coordinate library activities.
