Job summary

QatarEnergy Qatarization seeks a senior supervisor to oversee contractor construction activities for oil and gas projects in Qatar. You will ensure works align with the approved scope, design documents, and QHSE standards, and review method statements and submittals throughout the construction lifecycle.

The role includes acting as the performing authority for Contractor Permit to Work, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring safe, compliant handover to end users.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in relevant construction and installation activities in oil & gas projects.
• Experience implementing construction industry best practices, systems, processes and standards.
• Good skills in construction management, effective communication, conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction works executed by contractors to ensure projects are built per approved Scope of Work, designs, QHSE standards and specifications.
• Review and provide comments on construction method statements, material submittals, and commissioning procedures from start of construction to handover.

Primary Purpose of the Job

Responsible for supervision of construction works executed by contractors to ensure Department’s assigned projects are constructed in accordance with the approved Scope of Work, engineering design, QHSE standards & specifications. Review and provide comments on construction method statements, material submittals, commissioning procedures from start of construction of projects till completion and handover to end users. Responsible as performing authority for Permit to Work by the Contractors.

Required Experience and Skills

1. 1- A minimum of ten (10) years experience in relevant construction and installation activities in projects of oil & gas industry.
2. 2- Experienced in the implementation of construction industry best practices, systems, processes and standards.
3. 3- Good skills in construction management, effective communication, conflict resolution.

Educational Qualifications

B.Sc. in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University or Diploma in relevant engineering Discipline with extensive construction related experience. An additional/secondary HSE qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH would be advantageous.
