A regional technical services company in Doha, Qatar is seeking a Construction Supervisor (Electrical) to oversee electrical installation and commissioning processes on site. The ideal candidate will have a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, particularly in oil and gas and high-rise projects. Strong skills in construction management, conflict resolution, and compliance with electrical standards are essential. This role is critical for ensuring effective project execution and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience in construction installation and commissioning.
• Experience with oil and gas and high-rise buildings.
• Ability to interpret method statements and construction schedules.
• Demonstrate knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70, IEC or equivalent standards and electrical installations, including materials, methods, specs and hazardous location ID.
• Experience implementing construction industry best practices, systems, processes, and standards.
• Ability to interpret methods statements, construction schedules and drawings.
• Proven ability to resolve problems at site technically and contractually.
• Exposure to multinational contractors.

Qualification:

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from recognized University or equivalent, with extensive construction related experience. Good skills in construction management, effective communication, conflict resolution. Relevant courses in HSE, QAQC and construction.

Experience:

Minimum 12 years of experience in the appropriate discipline involving construction

installation precommissioning & commissioning of oil and gas / Petro Chemical, high rise buildings for HV, MV, and LV Electrical equipment including experience at a supervisory level.

Demonstrate thorough working knowledge of the National Electric Code NEC /NFPA 70,

IEC or equivalent standards. Shall have working knowledge of electrical installations

including materials, methods, specifications, and hazardous location identification, as

applicable.

Experienced in the implementation of construction industry best practices, systems,

processes, and standards.
