Responsibilities

• Manage the library's collection by cataloging, shelving, and organizing books and other materials
• Assist patrons with research inquiries by providing guidance on using library resources and locating information
• Maintain the organization of materials by regularly reshuffling books and ensuring they are placed in their proper location
• Process new materials to be added to the collection by labeling, covering, and shelving them appropriately
• Keep an accurate record of borrowed materials and follow up on overdue items
• Provide excellent customer service by welcoming patrons, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise
• Stay updated on new releases and popular titles in order to make recommendations to patrons
• Collaborate with other librarians to plan events and programs aimed at promoting literacy and learning within the community
